At 08:00, we will meet at Tokyo Station and depart. The journey takes about 2.5 hours and we will arrive at Ohtsugu at 10:30.
10: 30-11:30, visit Daitsugu: Hakone’s active volcano ruins, the air is filled with sulfur smell, and you can see the smoking volcano and boiling hot springs. You can taste black eggs (boiled in hot springs, with a dark skin), and also buy sulfur soap as a souvenir.
11: 40-12:40, Visit Lake Ashikaga: Hakone landmark lake, where you can see the reflection of Mount Fuji on the surface of the lake when the weather is good. You can take a pirate sightseeing boat (about 20-30 minutes) and enjoy the scenery of the lake and mountains, as well as the red torii of Hakone Shrine.
12: 50-13:20, Hakone Shrine Tour: Hakone’s representative shrine, the Red Torii, stands by the lake and is a popular check-in spot. Visitors can visit the shrine’s architecture, learn about local history and culture, and pray for peace and prosperity.
13: 50-14:10, Taoyuan Terrace Tour: An important transportation hub of Lake Ashikaga, with an observation deck offering views of the lake and Mount Fuji. There are restaurants and shops nearby where you can buy snacks or souvenirs for a short rest.
14: 30-15:30, visit the Sculpture Forest Art Museum: Japan’s first outdoor sculpture art museum, featuring works by masters such as Rodin and Moore. The outdoor sculptures blend with nature, and photos are taken. There are also art museum shops to explore.
15: 30-18:00, return to Tokyo Station and arrive at the Tokyo Station distribution center at 18:00.
